Where it Started
Progressive Systems Inc. was founded
Making Strides
Progressive Systems Inc. received their largest order to date for ten machines for a door manufacturer. Macintosh computers were used for machine control. The employee count tripled, and Progressive moved into a new building with Sales, Engineering, and Assembly under one roof.
100th Machine
Progressive Systems Inc. manufactured their 100th machine!
Opening New Doors
Progressive Systems Inc. opened a second location with a machine shop to facilitate a large international order.
500 Machines!
Progressive Systems Inc. manufactures 500 machines!
New Capabilities
The machine shop expanded its capability with a new 5 axis, 31’ capacity CNC milling machine.
Windows to Opportunity
Progressive manufactured their first machinery for the Made-To-Order window industry, with 12 machines to saw, route, punch, and drill nearly every fabricated component required to make a custom replacement window.
New Materials
Introduction of new line of CNC feed through machines for aluminum, fiberglass, composites, and wood components.
1,000 Machines!
Progressive Systems Inc. celebrated building 1,000 machines!
Sky’s the Limit
Additions to our fabrication department allowed us to receive our first large order for jet engine test equipment.
New Facility
Purchase of a 43000 sq. ft. sales, engineering, and assembly facility.
Steady Growth
Steady growth returned after the recession of 2008-09 following the crash of the housing market. Progressive weathered the recession with expansion of their machine rebuilding business and by focusing on new technology for revolutionary machines.
25 Years!
Progressive Systems Inc.’s 25th year in business!
Quality Assurance
Progressive combined Sales, Engineering, Assembly, and Manufacturing operations into a new 143,000 sq. ft. facility. Quality assurance program expanded to include a coordinate measuring arm, a coordinate measuring table, and a laser tracker for large part inspection and machine alignment. Fabrication capability was also increased with the addition of another new 5 axes, 46’ capacity CNC milling machine, as well as other smaller CNC machines.
30th Anniversary!
Progressive Systems Inc. celebrates their 30th Anniversary! The employee count passed 100 for the first time. The fabrication department continued to grow, when to fulfill customer demand another 5-axis mill was added to the shop floor, as well as several more smaller CNC machines.
Fabrication Department Expanded
The engineering department expanded with the addition of both mechanical and controls engineers, and the fabrication department expanded again with the addition of a 5-Axis Waterjet Machine, Sand Blast Booth, Conveyorized Paint Line, Robotic Welder, DMG Lathe with Live Tooling, and our 5th Large 5-Axis Boring Mill. The employee count passed 140.
Technological Expansion
To shorten lead times and improve part and labor tracking and on-time performance major investments were made to our ERP system. Also in 2023 we launched our new website to allow our customers to know more about us and the variety of products and services we offer.
